Manado Independent School (MIS) once again made its mark—this time at the prestigious Xpresi Party Manado Post 2025, held at Manado Town Square from May 22–24, 2025. In an atmosphere charged with excitement and applause, ten MIS high school students delivered outstanding performances, showcasing the excellence, confidence, and creativity they’ve developed through dedicated learning and coaching.
A Series of Remarkable Wins for MIS:
- Workspace Competition – 1st Place:
Kayla Kandou, Gloria Jusuf, Esther Laluyan, and Laurensia Talim impressed the judges with their innovative concept and presentation. - XYZ Competition – 2nd Place:
The team of Michiko Limanauw, Alexandra Sitorus, and Julio Flory earned recognition for their dynamic and thoughtful approach. - Journalism – 2nd Place:
Virginia Ticoalu and Lorraine Turangan displayed exceptional journalistic maturity and insight. - Speech Competition – 3rd Place:
Keishia Limmunandar captivated the audience with her inspiring and impactful speech. - Best Photographer:
Lorraine Turangan was honored for her compelling photo work, praised for its strong visual narrative and emotional resonance.
“When our team began brainstorming for the Workspace Competition, we knew we didn’t want to create something ordinary,” said Gloria Jusuf, a member of the winning team. “We aimed to design a workspace concept that is not only aesthetic and functional, but also embodies the values important to today’s youth—collaboration, work-life balance, and sustainability.”
Beyond the titles and trophies, MIS’s participation in the Xpresi Party reflects the school’s commitment to nurturing students’ potential. It provides a platform for them to express their ideas, collaborate creatively, and grow in confidence through public performance, teamwork, and meaningful artistic and communicative expression.
