The Golden Journey of a True Gymnast

Manado Independent School (MIS) is again beaming with pride as one of its young students, Faith Amoreiza, a 2nd grader at MIS Elementary, has achieved an extraordinary international milestone. At such a young age, Faith has brought honor to both her school and Indonesia by excelling in a prestigious artistic gymnastics competition — The 14th Moose Games Invitational Meet 2025.

Held on April 5–6, 2025, in Bangkok, Thailand, the event was organized by Thai Canadian Community Sports and is recognized as one of the largest annual gymnastics tournaments in Southeast Asia. This year’s event brought together 1,550 young athletes from countries such as Malaysia, China, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Taiwan, Singapore, Indonesia, and more to compete in Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (WAG).

Faith, affectionately known as Moa, represented Indonesia in the WAG – Level 1 category — a division that emphasizes foundational gymnastic skills, technical precision, and artistic expression, all professionally judged for her age group.

In an incredible display of talent and dedication, Moa brought home:

  • 3 Gold Medals in Vault, Floor, and Beam

  • 1 Silver Medal in Bars

Following her performance, Moa shared her excitement:

“Moa is very happy to win so many medals. My performance has improved compared to the last international competition in Manila. I’m more excited to keep practicing and looking forward to the next competition!”

Behind Moa’s success is a strong support system — professional coaches, dedicated training, her school, and her ever-supportive parents. Her story is a shining example that age is no barrier to achieving excellence on an international stage.

Moa’s mother, Dr. (c) Dr. Karina Ansheila, M.Kes., expressed heartfelt pride:

“We’re incredibly grateful and proud of Moa’s achievements. We’ll continue to support her in positively exploring her talents. For me, the most important lesson from this competition is that Moa learned commitment, discipline, perseverance, and hard work. The medals are wonderful, but I’m even prouder that she overcame her fears, stepped out of her comfort zone, and confidently competed on an international platform.”

Karina added with deep hope and faith:

“I pray that this achievement fuels Moa’s passion and becomes a testimony of God’s goodness in her life — that she will continue to be blessed and become a blessing to others.” Moa’s golden journey at the 2025 Moose Games is more than just a win — it’s an inspiration. Her story encourages every MIS student to dream boldly and pursue their passion beyond borders.
