Day 7, Sunday, February 23, kicked off with the swimming competition at 9:00 AM, where the crowd marveled at the athletes’ breathtaking dives and flawless strokes in events such as breaststroke and freestyle. The excitement continued into the evening, culminating in the swimming awards ceremony celebrating the athletes who secured their prestigious prizes.
One of the event’s committee members, Injil Rogi (Grade 12, MIS), shares her excitement: “Though I’m working as part of the organizing committee, on the bright side, I’ve gained so much experience with my friends. These are moments I will cherish forever.”
The afternoon saw other sports events continue as teams geared up for the semifinals. The results of Day 7 were as follows:
- Swimming (50m Freestyle): Michael Liwe (MIS High School)
- Tennis: Isla Santiago (MIS Elementary School) and Raysha Wibowo (MIS High School)
- Volleyball: Middle School Girls A Team
- Basketball: Elementary School Boys Teams (Tigers and Lions), Elementary School Girls Team (Lions), Middle School Girls Team (Phoenix), High School Team A
- Futsal: Elementary School Boys A Team
With the finals drawing near, excitement filled the air. Athletes, coaches, and supporters alike eagerly anticipated the crowning of the ultimate champions of the MIS SA CUP 2025.
Abigail Kenelak (Grade 8, MIS), MIS Middle School team volleyball player, shared, “I enjoy playing volleyball and being a supporter when I’m not playing. It just brings excitement to me.” Similarly, Gira Yoman and Lea Yare (Grade 10, MIS) reflected: “MIS SA CUP 2025 brought so much joy. We’ve made new friends and gained new experiences.”
