Celebrating the Students’ Talents: MIS Concert Brings Joy to Mantos 3

Manado Independent School (MIS) successfully hosted a spectacular concert at Mantos 3 on Sunday, October 13, 2024, delighting all attendees. The event brought together the school principals, teachers, parents, and a supportive crowd to celebrate the performances of nearly 400 students. The mall was transformed into a lively stage showcasing the talents of MIS students, from elementary to high school, as well as alumni who reunited to play the Kolintang, a traditional Indonesian musical instrument.

The concert was a showcase of the diverse talents and artistic abilities of MIS students. They performed with enthusiasm across a variety of genres, including music, dance, and other creative acts. The audience was treated to an array of performances, such as choir, speech choir, ballet, instrumental performances on violin, guitar, and band, as well as captivating dance routines. Each performance was met with enthusiastic applause and cheers from the audience, which included parents, teachers, and mall visitors. The principals from each section of the school were also present, reinforcing the school’s commitment to fostering creativity and passion among its students.

The teachers played an essential role in the success of the event, offering guidance and support not only in the preparation of the performances but also in sharing the joy of seeing their students shine on stage. They were filled with pride and happiness, reflecting the strong sense of community and collaboration that defines MIS.

A highlight of the evening was the participation of MIS alumni, who joined in the Kolintang performance. Their lively and skilled playing added a touch of nostalgia to the event. One alumna, Raestasya Wullur, expressed her happiness at reuniting with former classmates and teachers, saying, “It feels like we’re back in our high school days, performing together. There’s a mix of nostalgia and excitement. MIS provided us with the facilities and support we needed to practice and perform. Even after graduating, the bond we formed through music is still strong.”

MIS remains dedicated to nurturing the interests and talents of its students, providing a platform for self-expression and the development of self-confidence. The concert was a testament to the hard work, dedication, and high-quality musical education the students receive at the school. MIS continues to fulfill its mission to instill a love for the arts in every student.

The event’s success was made possible through the collaboration of MIS, the Indonesia Marketing Association (IMA) North Sulawesi, which served as the event organizer, and Mantos management, who provided the venue and support. The concert concluded with great fanfare and joy, leaving a lasting impression on all participants and spectators
