Manado Independent School’s (MIS) basketball teams, the boys’ “Vortex” and girls’ “Phoenix,” cemented their dominance once again by securing a historic fifth consecutive championship title at the North Sulawesi provincial basketball championship.
These teams have displayed remarkable consistency, clinching victories in the following tournaments:
Champion of the 18th MIS SA Cup 2023
Champion of the North Minahasa Regency 3×3 2023
Champion of the Lokon Cup December 2023
Champion of the Benzar Cup April 2024
Champion of the 19th MIS SA Cup 2024
Through their achievements, the MIS basketball teams have solidified their position as reigning champions and icons in North Sulawesi’s basketball scene. Their success brings immense pride not only to the school and parents but also serves as an inspiration for other student-athletes to pursue excellence in sports.
“We are incredibly proud of our students’ accomplishments,” commented Rommy Sanda, one of the middle school basketball coaches. “They have not only brought honor to the school but have also proven that with discipline, dedication, and hard work, we can achieve remarkable things. We hope this motivates other students to excel in their chosen fields.”
