The 19th MIS SA CUP serves as a prominent platform for young athletes from elementary, middle, and high schools across North Sulawesi. This year’s edition features a diverse range of sports, including futsal, basketball, volleyball, swimming, lawn tennis, and band competitions. Adding to the festive atmosphere are numerous food and drink booths lining the MIS Soccer Field. The enthusiasm of both participants and visitors is palpable, fueled by the exciting competitions and the promise of delicious treats.
Mayor Angouw, in his opening speech, congratulated the organizers and participants, emphasizing sportsmanship and perseverance. “This competition is not just about winning,” he said. “It’s about learning to handle success and defeat, a valuable lesson that will benefit you on and off the field.”
Joppi Rondonuwu echoed the Mayor’s sentiment, calling the tournament a highlight of the year. “We are all eager to witness the thrilling matches and the spirit of competition,” he stated. The presence of the international accreditation team underscores the event’s significance as it contributes to raising the bar for education and sports at MIS.
With the combined strength of high spirits, community support, and international recognition, the 19th MIS SA CUP is poised to be not only a platform for athletic achievement but also a catalyst for fostering stronger relationships between schools across North Sulawesi.
