Manado Independent School (MIS) hosted a vibrant Iftar celebration on April 1, 2024 at MIS Function Hall, fostering unity and cultural exchange. Students and staff from diverse backgrounds gathered to break their fast together. Traditional dishes were shared, accompanied by heartfelt conversations, fostering understanding and camaraderie among attendees. The event highlighted the commitment of the school to inclusivity and mutual respect. Previously, MIS organized a community service initiative, providing support to Muslim brothers and sisters during Ramadan. Volunteers assisted the food distribution, organized mosque clean-ups, and conducted educational sessions on Islamic principles. This effort aimed to strengthen bonds among the Muslim community members which promote compassion and solidarity.
Overall, these initiatives underscored the dedication of the school to cultural diversity, interfaith dialogue, and community engagement. Special thanks to all school Administrators, teachers, parents, students, and donors whose contributions made this event a resounding success.
