Manado Independent School (MIS) prioritizes continuous professional growth for its educators and staff. This commitment is reflected in the biannual “Enhancing Professional Development” workshop held for all teachers and staff on January 8th and 9th, 2024.
The theme of this program is “Revitalizing the Basics of Teaching” which aims to equip teachers with the skills to design engaging and effective learning experiences. However, staff development focuses on fostering a culture of high performance, emphasizing discipline and integrity.
MIS invited renowned speakers tailored to specific areas: Dr. Chliejferwyn C. Catolico for subject and homeroom teachers; Prof. Dr. Perry Rumengan, MSn for music teachers; Dr. Hendrik Mandagi, MKes, AIFO for sports teachers; Dr. Joppie Rondonuwu, Ph.D (combined session with AKBP (P); and Novani Jansen, S.Sos., M.M) for general staff
Interactive Learning Environment.
The workshop incorporated case studies and group discussions to facilitate practical understanding and application. This interactive approach ensured participants actively engaged with the material.
