Taking a break from strenuous work, all teachers and employees of Manado Independent School (MIS) carried out an excursion at Sunrise Makalisung Beach on Thursday, April 6, 2023. This event is held every semester of each school year. It aims to strengthen relationships among employees and foster positive spirit and work ethic of MIS workers.
MIS Director, Mr. Billy Kumolontang, MBA said in his remarks that “Excursion Day is a great opportunity to socialize in order to strengthen relationships between co-workers and families of MIS employees regardless of age, ethnicity, religion, and race. Moreover, I am happy that activities like this are designed, so we can unite and enjoy the beauty of God’s creation, avoid the burnout of workload, relieve stress from work routines, and reinvigorate our bodies in preparation for the numerous tasks and responsibilities ahead of us. Of course, with this activity, I hope that all employees can become more intimate and compact; establish two-way communication; be cooperative; and be motivated to work together to obtain success for the betterment of our institution.”
The recent Excursion Day was memorable because of the various exciting activities and games such as Zumba, bottle flip relay, straw relay, and guess the song title. Besides, the program was complemented with lively music and song entertainment. Of course, it could not be happier without special and delicious dishes and refreshing beverages. The event culminated with the awarding ceremony, door prizes, and closing program. The winners were awarded fabulous prizes and some lucky individuals won awesome door prizes. It was indeed a fun-filled and laughter-colored MIS Excursion Day. Although that day was quite gloomy, it did not lessen the enthusiasm nor hinder everyone to enjoy and create wonderful memories together.
We hope that the commitment and cohesiveness of the team can improve the performance profile of all MIS employees according to the school’s vision, mission, and goals.
