The most awaited moment for the senior class of Manado Independent School (MIS) is the announcement of admission into the State Universities in Indonesia (PTN). After the registration process, finally, four students successfully passed through the Talent Scouting and SNBP (Seleksi Nasional Untuk Masuk Perguruan Tinggi Negeri) routes. For Talent Scouting, Timothy Sutanto was accepted into the University of Indonesia (UI) major in law, international program. While through SNBP route, Zafira Purwanto was accepted into the University of Indonesia (UI) majoring in Management; Zywalleni Porajow was accepted into Sam Ratulangi University (UNSRAT) majoring in medicine, as well as Christiany Mononutu majoring in law.
MIS, the only international standard school in North Sulawesi, uses a unique curriculum that merges national and international. The international curriculum is a combination of Cambridge, Abeka, and Oxford. Through this kind of system, the students’ needs of choosing the best universities in Indonesia and overseas are being catered to.
Zafira is grateful to have been accepted at her dream university. “Since 10th grade, I have been dreaming of being part of this prestigious university which is renowned for its distinguished alumni. Some of them are prominent profiles and well-known people in Indonesia. This includes government leaders, political figures, and even successful business people.” Zafira said. She is also thankful for the support and assistance from the school and its homeroom teacher who helped out in completing the requirements needed including registration procedures in SNBP. Management is her best choice because her interest is in marketing, accounting, and setting up organizational and financial structures in preparation to run her own business in the future. “As an aspiring, young entrepreneur, I planned to equip and train myself in various companies after graduation,” Zafire added. Manado Independent School has been so pleased and proud of the achievements of its students. The school is forever grateful to the supportive parents and teachers who paved the way to success for these young aspirants. Above all else, glory be to God, Almighty for the numerous blessings the school has been enjoying in the past up to the present. Congratulations dear students! Keep striving hard to achieve your dreams! May God bless you always.
