MIS Involves and Promotes Implementation of Merdeka Belajar Curriculum

The Indonesian SPK school association (PSSI) is intensifying the socialization of the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum program from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek). Bridging the development of the program, this association held the Road Show 2023 to a number of Indonesian SPK schools with the aim of providing understanding regarding the independent learning curriculum, strengthening the community between Indonesian SPK schools, and facilitating practice and knowledge transfer from the best SPK human resources for public school teachers.

Manado Independent School (MIS), as the only SPK school in North Sulawesi, actively participates and is involved in implementing the Merdeka Belajar curriculum Road Show 2023. Mrs. Fionne Lengkong, S.E, M.Pd, MIS, the school supervisor and secretary of the Indonesian SPK School Association (PSSI), was present at Kidsstar School Makassar on March 13, 2023, as a moderator in a panel discussion that thoroughly discussed the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar curriculum in Indonesian SPK schools. They were discussing the SPK policy updates, P5 (Strengthening the Pancasila Student Profile Project) as well as three engaging professional development sessions from several curated sources and experts in the field of education.

Previously, Fionne and the Indonesian SPK Schools Association (PSSI) management held an audience with Dr. Iwan Syahril, Ph.D., Director General of Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, and Secondary Education, together with Dr. Sutanto, S.H., M.A., Secretary General of Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, and Secondary Education on January 13, 2023, bringing the agenda of activities such as the PSSI Networking head of foundation/board member event on February 17, 2023, additionally, the PSSI Road Show at Mutiara Nusantara School, Bandung on February 20, 2023.MIS appreciates and supports every step of Ms. Fionne’s activities. We are truly grateful for her active role and involvement in every PSSI program to provide the best quality education for students and teachers in Indonesia.
