MIS Students Win  Silver Medal of the National Competition 2021

The online National Science Competition (KSN) on 7-13 November 2021 has just ended. During the selection stage from the North Sulawesi Province level, four MIS students successfully passed and were ready to take part in the National level.

Tristan Benedict Kandou made a marvelous achievement during the announcement of the result  of the KSN competition which he won a silver medal for the  national level. Tristan is the only representative of Elementary, Middle School, and High School levels representing North Sulawesi Province to win at the National level in science competition. Tristan admitted that he did not expect to get the medal, indeed he was really happy, grateful, and surprised. Tristan has loved science since the 3rd grade, because he is interested in experiments and how things work about his surroundings. When asked how his preparations were for KSN “My KSN preparation was tight, but I had a lot of time to prepare for it, and it went well. The unconditional support from the school and parents for Tristan is never ending. “MIS and the teachers helped me by teaching all the materials for the competition, and motivated me to be successful. Likewise my family who comfort and help whenever I have a problem.” Tristan also gave advice to encourage his friends not to be afraid to join or participate in competitions because we know not if we can do well until we try; for those who have failed “Never give up and use this experience to perform better the next time.”

Sharon Lintuuran, MEIL the principal of MIS Middle School is very grateful to God Almighty for the achievements that have been achieved by Tristan Kandouw who has won a silver medal in the National Competition 2021. “It is a pride for us, especially the Middle School section of Manado Independent School, for this achievement. We are also very grateful to Tristan’s parents who have continuously given full support for Tristan’s participation during this KSN competition. Thanks also to the teachers who have trained Tristan diligently and patiently. We also do not forget to express our gratitude to the Regent of North Minahasa and the ranks of the North Minahasa Education Office for actively training the participants. During this pandemic, it is not easy to achieve, but with sacrifice and good planning, we have tasted the sweet fruit of this achievement. Therefore, this experience has proven that with diligent study and the desire to be the best, all students can realize it. Keep the spirit of learning and pursuing achievements! Lord Jesus always bless.” close Sharon.
